The aim of the Al Faris curriculum is to develop the entire individual academically, emotionally, socially and physically.  To this end, we strive to give our students opportunities to develop their skills in several sports activities which promote not only physical well-being but also teamwork, friendship and healthy competition.

Boys take part in competitions organized by the International Schools Sports League in Riyadh (ISSL-R).Member schools include: Al Faris International School, American International School, British International School, French International School, Multinational School, King Abdul-Aziz International School, International Philippine School, Advanced Learning School, King Saud International School and Pakistan International School.  Our students compete in Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity categories in volleyball, soccer, table tennis, basketball, swimming, track and field and badminton.  Each competition ends with a medal ceremony for 3rd, 2nd and 1st place teams / schools.

Class tournaments are held for boys grades 4 – 12 in soccer, basketball and handball. The tournaments consist of 3 groups: Grade 4, 5 and 6; Grade 7, 8 and 9; and Grade 10, 11 and 12. The matches are played during recess time. Each group will have a winning team / class which receive a gold medal at the end of the academic year. By the end of the year, all the students would’ve had the opportunity to play in a tournament.

We also have a swimming competition for grades 4, 5 and 6 with a medal ceremony for the top 3 in each stroke in each age group.
